Salty Kisses is owned and operated by Danielle, Zara and Noel Spalding who created Salty Kisses with a combination of their passions, skills and the urge to help others.
Danielle's background has always been in the fashion and cafe industry as well as in many areas of design. After some years travelling and living in Europe and working in business, management and the food industry, Danielle saw the opportunity in the market to create an authentic health spa destination in Gympie. Combining her background in food creativity with the people skills and love of sharing knowledge and helping others, Danielle has created Salty Kisses.
Zara at just 13 years of age, takes pride in working at Salty Kisses on Saturday's and over the school holidays. Zara tragically lost her biological father at a tender age of 11, a traumatic time for all of their family in 2014 whist living in Wolvi. After leaving Wolvi to return to Cooroy soon after, a sense of loss in so many ways led to the opening of Salty Kisses. Zara's father had battled depression for many years and also suffered from severe Eczema, Asthma and anxiety. The Salty Kisses building was purchased a year later with his legacy in mind, a place where they could help people battling with health issues such as these and try to make a difference in people's lives.
Noel has a passion in landscape gardening which is where the talent and ability to create the beautiful garden stems from. After many years working in the construction industry, Noel set his sights establishing a beautiful Balinese inspired garden in their home in Cooroy. This stunning garden features an amazing Balinese style hut in which was designed and built from scratch. A mesmerizing stone fire pit and pond with lush tropical plants also resides in it's rightful place. With Noel's passion of landscaping and design he wanted to establish a garden with the ocean in mind that reflected the Hampton's theme at Salty Kisses. With an amazing work ethic and eye for detail, Noel created the beautiful Hampton's Tea Garden on entry to Salty Kisses.
